CompuTech's Utilities Page This Utilities Page is an unusual one, because it lets you configure your computer so that you can enjoy viewing our website in the manner in which we originally intended it should be seen. Screen Resolution and Colour Palette The entire CompuTech Services website is designed and written to be viewed on a 15" or 17" (381mm or 432mm) colour monitor screen with a minimum capability of displaying 256 or more colours and being set at a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels or more. Of course, your screen resolution can be bigger or smaller than 800 x 600 pixels, but you will not be able to view all the items which the designer intended you to see if your screen's resolution is less than 800 x 600 pixels, or your screen's colour palette is less than 256 colours. True-Type Font The text of the website is designed to be viewed in the "Technical" true-type font. If you do not have the "Technical" True-type font installed on your computer, you will most likely be viewing this text in "Times New Roman", or "Times" font. The Technical True-Type Font is ©copyrighted by Corel Corporation, and is usually obtained as a part of the Corel Wordperfect suite of programs. If you would like to download the "Technical" true-type font to your computer, click this link to begin the download of the font file. Tell the computer you wish to save the file to disk, and tell it the name of the sub-directory in which you want the file saved. Keep the name of the sub-directory to which you downloaded the file handy - you will need it later. If you are unsure as to how to install the "Technical" true-type font after you have downloaded it, and your computer is running Microsoft® Windows®, click Start, click Settings, click Control Panel, click Fonts, tell the computer to install a new font, tell it the name of the sub-directory into which you downloaded the "Technical" true-type font, and tell it to copy the font file into your Fonts sub-directory. If you are still unsure about doing the font installation yourself, you can consult Microsoft's Technet Home Page for inspiration and instruction.
